The system we use

Polyurethane membrane is a high-performance waterproofing system known for its exceptional flexibility, durability and long lifespan.

unlike traditional materials, it forms a seamless, fully bonded, reinforced layer that adapts to structural movement without cracking, making it ideal for long-term protection. With excellent resistance to weathering, UV exposure and chemicals. polyurethane membrane lasts for many years with minimal maintenance.

this versatile system is suitable for a wide range of applications including balconies and swimming pools, and is robust enough to be used in trafficable areas and can even withstand vehicle traffic when installed correctly.

Polyurethane is applied as a wet on wet system compromising of a resin and fiberglass strand matting.

Cold vs Warm Deck Roofs

Warm roof (warm deck)

Insulation above the structural deck with a vapour control layer (VCL) and waterproof membrane on top. The deck stays warm, reducing condensation risk and usually no ventilation is needed.

Typical build-up: deck → VCL → rigid insulation → adhesive/mechanical fixings → membrane and edge trims.

Best for: refurbishments and new builds seeking high thermal performance.

Cold roof (cold deck)

Insulation between the joists below the deck. The deck and membrane run cold and must be cross-ventilated to avoid condensation and timber decay.

Typical build-up: ceiling → VCL/air-tight layer → insulation between joists → ventilated void → deck → membrane.

Best for: where adding height above the deck is not possible and ventilation can be guaranteed.

Which is right for you? Warm roofs usually meet modern thermal targets and minimise condensation risk. Cold roofs require strict ventilation and careful vapour control. We’ll advise the best option for your property and Building Regulations.
